What is your style and approach?
I would describe my style in three words it would be "Natural, organic and cinematic". If I had to break it down in numbers I would say it is about 60% candid, 30% naturally posed creative portraits and 10% traditional. I like my photography to incorporate clean composition, that feels balanced as well as raw. I tend to move around a lot, to capture the moments and surroundings without being intrusive. I believe there is a fine line of knowing when to be stealth, and taking advantage of a moment.

Do you travel for weddings outside of Tauranga?
Yes I love to travel, I have budget friendly travel rates which I keep to the minimum. So if you are planning a wedding outside of Tauranga just get in touch and I can send you through a quote.
-
What camera do you shoot with, and do you backup the photos?
I currently shoot with two Sony full frame bodies with in camera backup, with a variety of lenses and accessories. I also take backups seriously after the shoot, and always ensure your photos are backed up on and offsite.
-
What if it rains on the Wedding Day?
There isn't much we could do about the weather, however I do make the best effort to scout the locations with alternative weather in mind and check for some sheltered spots. Also If you don't mind a bit of drizzle, then we can brave the storm with our umbrellas. Some of the best moody images comes with stormy weather.
-
What happens if you are sick or unable to photograph our wedding?
Fortunately this has not happened yet, however if this does happen and I am absolutely unable to photograph your wedding. I will do my best to find a suitable photographer to take my place. If not I will refund you in full.
-
Do we need a second shooter at our wedding?
If you are planning to have a large wedding or have more than 100+ guests, or you are wanting to cover both parties getting ready while you are in separate locations. I would always encourage a second shooter. This is to ensure we are sufficiently resourced so that nothing is missed, and it is always great to have images from a different perspective.
-
Can we meet you?
Yes, If you are in the Tauranga or the Bay of Plenty I would love to catch up and discuss your wedding plans over coffee. Alternatively if you are out town we can organise a consultation over the facetime or phone. Get in touch, there is no obligation to book.
-
What are your prices?
The best way to view my pricing is via my Wedding Packages page. If our current packages don't suit your requirements, don't hesitate to get in touch as I am sure we can sort out a custom package for you.
-
How long will it take to receive our images? How many photos do would we receive?
I will provide a sneak peak between 1-4 days of the wedding and it will approximately take between 6-12 weeks for the full set of the images to received to your door. I don't limit the amount of images you would receive, however I do cull away images that are duplicates or out of focus etc.. A typical 8 hour wedding coverage approximately would be 500+ images.
-
Will we have the rights to the images? and are we able to print them ourselves?
We both have the rights to the images, the images received are never watermarked and you are free to share, print, and utilise them on a personal basis. So excludes selling, re-editing or using the images on a commercial basis, if you are unsure please ask first.
-
What will you wear to the shoot?
This will depend on the type of wedding and dress code you are having. As I plan to blend in with your guests, I will dress accordingly to your event's dress code. Depending if it is formal, smart casual or casual.
-
Do you edit the photos? Also are you able to process photos in Photoshop?
Yes, I edit all photos delivered to clients which would be a mix of mostly colour and a few black and white photos. However I do not heavily process photos in Photoshop, for example adding or removing people in images or making people slimmer or removing freckles which I think are absolutely gorgeous. I like to shoot people for who they are, we are all unique and beautiful in our own way and I personally think we shouldn't change that.
-
Are you able to provide us with the RAW files?
The short answer is no. Raw files are an unfinished product and not a true representation of my work or style. My clients commission me as their photographer because they love my style, and the final images delivered are a representation of my product which I take pride in.
-
We are camera shy and feel awkward in front of cameras are you able to help?
Yes, of course. I understand that you might not have experience being photographed and I'm here to help. Through my easy going shooting style, I make sure that you look natural and lovely in your photos. Some people take a little longer to get warmed up, and in those cases I ensure that you feel comfortable and relaxed while we are shooting. It will be fun, and it won't be nearly as traumatising as you may think. I often hear from my clients that they are surprised at how easy and relaxed they felt. I also offer pre-wedding/engagement sessions which are also great way to practice being in front of the camera to give you peace of mind.
-
How far in advance should we book you for our wedding?
It is recommended to book about 12 months in advance. If you are planning on a shorter time frame, please get in touch to check if I am available.

You are the photographer for us! How do we go about booking you?
First of all thank you, and I am humbled. The next step is to get in contact with me via the Contact page and let me know your location and date of the wedding, so I can make sure I am available. If I am available, and we are set on a package that is right for you. To lock in a date, a reservation deposit will need to be paid as well as a signed contract. If you do find you need the dates changed we can book you on a new date as long as we are available. If for whatever reason you need to cancel the booking I will do my best to fill your booking so we can return your reservation deposit. I don't hold any dates until both the reservation deposit and contract are completed. Get in touch, I can't wait to work with you!
